A kitchen where cheap and healthy meals are created. Feed a family of 4 paying less than $5.00 total. Some of my recipes are 10 minutes or less to cook, with about 5 minutes to prepare. However some are easy to prepare like my raw probiotic ferments, or Kombucha. Here you prepare and let time do the rest. No joke. WASTE NOT WANT NOT IS MY MOTTO:) Learn to cook without all recipe ingredients, and still come out with a great meal. Blessings:)

Just thought i'd share. Are you prepared to take care of yourself or your loved ones for 3 month, a month, a week, a day??Are you a prepper? All it takes is one can at a time, don't rush, but don't wait to be despaired either. Do it for yourself and your loved ones please!!! Just do it! Take 5 minutes make a supply list, like water, batteries, canned/dry food, first aid, and such. Just do. Tis better to be safe than sorry.

Quick Sweet Potato Pie
preheat oven to 350
1 sweet potato large or 1 small can
1 egg
1 cup milk
1 dash salt
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup sugar or sweeten to taste with your favorite sweetener.
Spices
Spices like cinnamon, cloves, ginger,or nutmeg. You can add one or all. It's all to your liking. note: pumpkin pie spice has all the above.
Well I had this one large sweet potato in the fridge for a while so I microwaved it and let it cool. Add the egg, milk, butter, sugar and spices. I used cloves, and pumpkin pie spice. Cinnamon is also very good. Blend all ingredients and put in pie crust. Personally I use my never fail pie crust. I love it because its a never fail pie crust, (lol) and whenever I need to make a pie of some sort voila! ;there it is. Bake till crust is browned.
Hmmm. my guestimate is about $2.00 for the whole lot of this. Serves about 8-10 nice slices.
btw the taste is as good as it smells.
Enjoy

I'm back with many blessings:))
Hi everyone I'm back. I've been so very busy trying not to spread myself so thin. Lol. I hope you had a wonderfully Blessed Holiday. Looks like everything is back to normal. My home is thank the Lord. Only thing is my clothes are fitting a little tighter this week than last month. Oh oh. If I don't get a grip on it now, my clothes won't fit at all.
Ok. Check. However I know I'm not alone here right? Especially after the holidays.
I also want to share some of my New Years Resolutions with you. Funny cause I never make one, and now I have a few. Probably because I end up never keeping them. However I feel so strong about these. They are...
1. Get healthier physically, mentally, and spiritually.
2. Be more of service
3. Go to Hawaii/business/temple. Lol So anyway, dear friends, let's get
Mary Helens Test Kitchen going.
Psst. Thanks for coming back:)))
